Welcome to the Tonbridge and District Table Tennis League website. The
League consists of two divisions (1 and 2) with 13 teams from 5 local clubs. Click to view Division League Tables.
In these matches, each player from each team will play 3 singles up to
11 points and best of 5 sets. As there are 3 members on one team, there are 9 singles in total. After these singles are played,
one doubles is played. This means that during one match, a maximum of 10 points can be obtained.
There is also a Handicap Competition run by the league. In this, there are 11 teams from 4 clubs. The handicap ratings are derived from the performances in the
11-up league.
Matches are played during the Table Tennis Season (September - April) during
weeknights. But not during the Christmas and New Year period. Other free weeks are reserved for postponements.
Each team has its own home night (e.g. Thursday) and will play all their
home games on that particular night. Matches commence between 19:30 and 20:00 and usually finish between 22:00 and 23:30.
The Tonbridge and District Table Tennis League also runs a Junior League competition for local clubs. The format of these matches are different to the adult league as each match requires two
team members instead of three.
